Disney Day 5- December 26

Jordy began the day by watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while we got ready for our Animal Kingdom adventure...
I took Lily's picture with her three scroll gifts so she could get ready for her scavenger hunt through the parks to find her special gifts...

My two little monsters got ready to go...

Once we got to Animal Kingdom...our first stop was lunch at Yak and Yeti's.  This is one of our favorite places to eat.

Lily made up a story while we were waiting...Disney has the best things for kids to do while waiting on their food!

We had a delicious dessert of Fried Wontons...oh my word!  So yummy!
Lily got her a little sundae which she only wanted for the cherry on top!  Love her!
After lunch, we went to have our pictures made with Safari Mickey and Minnie which were dressed up in Christmas clothes ...we were a little sad about that, but we quickly moved on.

Then, we headed down the path to take some more pictures for my book and for our house...

Lily has on one of her stocking presents.  We found a locket for her on Etsy that is just beautiful.  She has wanted one for a long time, so she was especially happy about this Christmas surprise.  Plus it has pictures of the three of us on one side and then her with Jordy on the other.  She LOVED that.
I just took picture of her periodically wherever she wanted to stop and look...

After the picture taking session, we went on Kilamanjaro Safari.  Both of them enjoyed this.  The animals were out and about more so than we have seen before.  So, it was nice for them to be right beside us.

They have actually changed the ride a bit from the previous time we were on it, so it was nice for it to just be all about the animals.

Next, we went to Rafiki's Planet Watch which was a fun little train ride.  That was full of all kinds of interesting facts for Lily to absorb.  She enjoys learning so much - so that is another reason why we love Disney.  There are so many educational opportunities everywhere.
Finally, it was time for the big Fast Pass that these two had been waiting on.  Last year, they were supposed to ride Expedition Everest but it was broken.  So, they had to wait until our next trip...
They couldn't wait to ride... and it was a "Big Deal Coaster" I was told by my daughter when they got off.  It was a little scary for her.  But, they liked it.
Throughout the day, she had been pondering what her Frankincense gift was going to be from Animal Kingdom.  She had to find something that was in Africa since her scroll said that it had been mined there for  thousands of years.  She finally decided that she wanted this cute pink purse that she found at one of the outdoor carts.  So, Scroll gift number one had been purchased.  And now we refer to that purse as her Frankincense gift.  We stopped along the way for a few more pictures...

After we left Animal Kingdom, we went back to the room for awhile.  Then, we went back to Epcot for dinner at Sunshine Seasons.  We rode Nemo and Figment because the lines are always short.  I have no idea why- because we love these rides.  I guess people just tend to flock to Soarin and Test Track in this park.  Of course, we did those rides the first day we were there, too!  :0)
