Tomorrow...

This is what I am hoping tomorrow morning will look like... this picture was taken two weeks ago before the pox one morning before we left for school.
Jamie stayed home with Lily today, and they had the best time together. I know that I definitely missed being with her today. But, it will be nice to get back on our normal schedule again tomorrow.

Lily's Weekend

Lily still has a fever, and her mood is Princess/Tiger at any moment. This shows that she does not feel well. Jamie will have to stay home with her Monday. Then, we will see if she can re-enter society or at least- Alice's house- on Tuesday. We are praying she will be able to. Alice subbed for me last week at school where my classroom was contaminated by sickness. I had 11 kids out a few days last week. So, the flu has hit. I am hopeful that I missed it by being out with Lily. (By the way- thank you Alice for all of your help- and Lily has missed you!)

On a great note, she has learned how to sing the ABC song this week. She has made up all kinds of new dances, and she has started reading her books to us with the actual words that are in them. We are going to try to get it on video soon because it is so adorable. She has also started saying "please" instead of "cheese". Her words are becoming more recognizable, and her sentences have started to include words like "of, and, to" in them. It seems like 28 months is going to be a lot of fun watching her growth!

Another day at home...

We have spent the day together reading, cuddling, and watching tons of Hannah Montana, Peep, and Tinkerbell. Those have been her 3 choices of entertainment. I think I almost have the Hannah theme-song memorized. You can ask Jamie- he is ready for me to learn something new. :0) She is running a fever again, and she is so tired. Her spots are popping up with the clear, oozy liquid in them. Yuck! It is pretty nasty. But, I will be glad when they crust over and finish up with their process. I was hoping that we would just be out a week with her mild-case of pox. But, it looks like Jamie will be taking some days off next week. Please continue praying for Lily. I think today she has felt the worst of all.

Lily & the Pox

Lily is doing well. She is only itching the pox that aren't covered by clothing. But, I think she really enjoys me being home with her. I certainly am loving taking care of her. She has had the vaccine, by the way. A lot of people keep asking me about that. That is why she just has a very mild case. Thank you for your emails and prayers! I hope her pox don't get any worse.

Lily & the Chicken Pox

Yes... Lily has them! They started coming out to join us last night. I am just praying for a really mild case. She is okay right now other than constant itching- which we have to work on. Looks like we might have some bonding time together this week. At least there's something to be excited about when it comes to being sick. :0)

A Little Miami Fan

Lily just started loving nightgowns instead of little shorts and shirts to sleep in at night. So, I was looking through some of my t-shirts last night when I came across this one that I thought Lily would love. We have been buying 3T t-shirts for her to wear at night. (She is also cheering in this picture- saying, "Go, go Miami!")
Lily loves Miami, and she loves football. She gets so excited when the quarterbacks make touchdowns. She actually sits and watches the games on t.v. So, she loved her new nightgown.
Here she is showing off the U.
(While she is eating her berry snack)
She loves her berry snacks!
But, if you ask her who her favorite quarterback is- she says "Tebow!" Her Mama and Baba agree, of course! He is the best!

Time-Out

You know your child has been in Time-Out way too often when...

Lily's favorite kitty, Uh-oh, hit me last night while we were watching a football game (with Lily's help, of course.) Lily immediately said, "Oh No, Uh-oh. No hit Mama. You go to Time-Out." She then walked her kitty over to Lily's Time-Out spot, and she sat him down. After that, she turned and walked back to us. Of course, we were holding back laughter. She announced that Uh-oh was in Time-Out for hitting Mama. Then, she walked back to Uh-oh, picked her kitty up in her arms, and gave her hugs and kisses. She had a talk with Uh-oh about her behavior, and they both came back over and sat down to watch more of the game.

Too funny!!

Our Weekend

Liana is taking our picture with her cool camera. She is quite a good little photographer.
David and Beth took us to a local park. The girls enjoyed swinging together.

I got to push Lily and Marah in their swings. Lily had a great time with both girls.

They taught Lily how to throw rocks in the creek. She had the best time.

The girls are walking together back to our car after our visit with nature.

Of course, Lily had to hold Liana's hand again on this trip.

After we ate, the girls were playing around in the restaurant.

Back at Beth and David's, the girls were playing together. Look how much Marah has grown since our last visit! She is such a doll. I got to spend a lot more time with her this time.

Liana was eager to have her picture made! She was so sweet to both of the girls- especially with Lily begging for her attention at times.

We played Ring Around the Roses with the girls.
It was almost time for us to leave, but Liana had to take our picture. See how good she is at this!
Thank you Beth and David for such a wonderful visit! We can't wait to see you again!

Forgot the camera!

I just wanted to write to let you know things have been crazy since we got back from our long weekend. We forgot the camera when we went to see our friends and family, so we had to buy a cheapo camera. Jamie took it to the local drugstore today to make a CD out of it. Hopefully, when he picks it up tomorrow- we might have a few good pictures.

We had a terrific weekend. Lily loved spending time with Jamie's brother, Gene and his dog, Madden. She also enjoyed every second of time spent with Liana and Marah. We had such fun with Beth, David, Liana, and Marah. Lily learned how to throw rocks in a creek, and she also took her shoes off in the creek for the first time. Lily was so happy to be on "vacation", and she cannot wait until we head out of town again.

I will post the pictures from our weekend tomorrow.

Going on a trip...

We are getting ready to travel this weekend to see our friends from China- Beth, David, Liana, and Marah. We will also be seeing Uncle Gene and Aunt Holly. Lily has been talking about the trip for days. She is so excited!
We were a little worried when we thought she was getting a cold, but she seems to be better now.
So, there will be lots of pictures of our weekend when we return.
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
