Chinese New Year's Celebration

Lily said she would try the dress on, but only for some pictures.
At least she smiled. As soon as Baba finished with the pictures, the dress was off.
We had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant, then we made New Year's crafts with the girls. Lily made a new friend tonight- her name is Lily Grace, too. She is 4 1/2 years old. Isn't she a cutie!

Here are the other girls doing their crafts at the next table.
The girls were working hard making their Year of the Tiger picture frames.
Then, we got the girls together for a group photo. Meg helped Lily to get in the picture.
Lily loved Meg- can you tell from the big grin. Last year, we could barely get her in the picture, but this year, we had a hard time getting her to stop posing.
From left to right: Kate, Lily, Meg, Keaira, Amie, Kenli, and Lily

The girls in blue are Lily's doctor's girls. They are so sweet.
We couldn't even get Lily to get out of pictures that parents wanted
to take without Lily in them!
She had a great evening with all of the girls!

Lily said...

When we were playing downstairs last night, Lily said, "I'm not eating a frog and kissing a bug on the same day!" We cracked up.

Snow in Atlanta

Where did Downtown Atlanta go? The WhiteOut covered the city in the above picture.
These pictures were taken from our window in our hotel room. When Lily took her nap on Friday, the snow had started. Two hours later, this is what the outside looked like.
Four inches of snow later... we were amazed that snow was in Atlanta. They forecasted it correctly.
Lily woke up from her nap, and she was thrilled with snow on our vacation. The funny thing was that she kept telling us to look at it or we would miss it. Bless her heart- she is used to TN snow!
She is sitting by the window enjoying our weekend in Atlanta! We had so much fun!

Holiday...

While we were packing, Lily was busy singing. Of course, she had to watch a little Taylor (shown below) and a little Hannah before we leave her on-demand videos for the weekend.
We love to go away and spend time together - just the 3 of us. So, we are taking off for a long weekend. Lily is thrilled to go stay at the hotel, and of course, she can't stop talking about all of the shopping we will do.

Have a wonderful weekend! We will post some pictures when we return!

Fixin' hair and Drawing pictures...

Lily decided on Saturday morning that her animals needed some headbands.
She was so proud of herself. She also put on an entire outfit- shirt and shorts- all by herself today. She was so excited! Normally, she will just do one or the other, but never both. She is just growing up. Lily loves to draw. She can do it for hours and hours. The picture below is a drawing of Aunt Suzette. Lily said she is mad- that is why she drew a straight line for her mouth. Her pictures are hilarious! Do you see her arms sticking out of her head and her necklace under her chin. Plus- look at all of that hair!

Happy Referral-versary!

Two years ago today, we got the call from AWAA telling us that our Lily was waiting on us in China. We couldn't wait for tomorrow because we would be seeing Lily's picture for the first time. The pictures here are the first glimpses we had of our beautiful daughter that God made just for us. I cannot believe that this time has passed so quickly. We have enjoyed every moment of being Lily's parents! She is truly a blessing straight from God!
Happy Referral-versary to all of our China friends!
