The Princess and the Kiss: Life Lessons

Lily and I are doing this wonderful study about what God expects from her concerning her purity. (The Princess and the Kiss by Jennie Bishop)  It is the sweetest study I have ever seen, and it is teaching her so much!  What amazes me the most is the opinions and values she already has at the age of 7!  The life lessons last for 21 days, so every night- we get to do a Bible study and read what God wants to tell her about saving her "kiss".  Each night, there is always a jewel of truth - a Bible verse and some activities to further her understanding. So, tonight, she had to choose a man in her life that is very Godly.  Of course, she chose her Baba.  Then, it asked her to make a list of qualities that were worth admiring that she would like to find in her future husband, if that is God's plan for her life.  She wrote this list on her own.  I am so proud of my amazing daughter!

Just in case you can't read her writing, this is the list she made:

      Qualities Worth Admiring
1.  He loves God!
2. Thankful
3.  Tell the truth no matter what
4.  To make Godly choices
5.  To not steal
6.  Be kind
7.  Put others first
8.  Not to argue- talk things out
9.  He only loves me and my children (she also said, "You know- He isn't attracted to other women!")
10.  He doesn't say bad words
11. He only worships God
12. Not to be mad at God's plan
13. He is only friends with good people
14. Listens to only Christian music
15. Tells other people about God

I am just amazed by what she has observed and what she already knows at such a young age.  This just shows you how important it is to tell our children everything we can about what God expects from them because they are watching and learning from our lives and the examples we set daily!

Just if you are interested, they have a boys book too!

Last Days of Disney

Lily finally found her last scroll gift in Epcot... her Gold for this year was a mood ring which she found in China.
We have a few last day traditions before we leave the park.  We save up our change throughout the week, and we leave it for our MouseKeeper.  Usually Lily leaves a note thanking her as well but this year she just made the mouse.
We take a picture of our last look at the Boardwalk...
Then, we check out and head to Downtown Disney and Raglan Road.
Raglan Road is by far our favorite place to eat.  It is completely delicious.  We have tried tons of different things on the menu, and they are all so yummy!  But, normally, we don't make it to dessert.  We decided to eat lightly so we could save some room...
This Bread and Butter Pudding is the best dessert I have ever had in my LIFE!  Seriously- especially if you don't like things that are too sweet.  It is the perfect combination!
I caught Jamie giving out some kisses after our meal.
Then, we begin our last day of shopping... by starting out at the Lego Store.
We also went to the Toy Store where Lily got to make her own droid.  For a Star Wars fan, this is pretty cool...
She also chose this way cool bowling set that we have thoroughly enjoyed!  We cannot get enough of this game!  It is probably the best-made bowling set that we have owned.  It was a great purchase!
 Lily making Mickey Ears....
Lily wanted me to take her picture in our room at the Hilton which is where we stayed for one night in order to make Downtown Disney a little easier.  We haven't left the Disney property to do this before, but it was fun!  We won't do it again though- it is just way better actually staying on property.
But the room was huge and nice!  We enjoyed doing something a little different!

So after spending the day shopping, we got up early and headed home the next day.  Our little prince slept for 7 out of 10 hours on our trip home... and he did not cry one time.  Yes, we have another little traveler on our hands!  Thank you God for making the perfect children for us every time!

Disney Day 8- December 29

Jordy started off the day with a cup of coffee...
 Only joking, of course-

We went to Epcot for lunch.  We ate in Germany and had a wonderful experience.  We really enjoyed the food, and we also loved the musical show.
We walked back to our room for a short break before...

Before we decided to be crazy people again.... Magic Kingdom here we come!

First stop- we got to see Anna and Elsa!  So much fun!  We have no pictures of this- those are all Disney Photos.  But, they are beautiful- once we decided what we will purchase, I will post those.
Next, we rode on the carousel...which makes me happy, happy, happy!

We headed over to Gaston's Tavern for a quick drink of Frozen Apple Juice...

We had to stop for another snack which was one of my favorites- a white chocolate marshmallow covered Olaf!
Then onto my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom- Under the Sea...

Love this new ride... can't wait for Disney to make more new rides!
Next, we headed over to It's A Small World... because we can't leave Magic Kingdom without riding this ride at least once!
Then, we ended up our night back at Epcot beside the Wishing Well where Snow White usually stands getting her picture made with everyone.  We got some popcorn and sat in a quiet spot enjoying the evening.  We had a really busy day today, but we enjoyed every minute.

Disney Day 7- December 28

Woody was ready to go today...If we heard do you have a snake in your boot once... we heard it a thousand times!
We ate lunch at Beaches and Cream which was a lot of fun!  This is located at Beach Club which is right across from the Boardwalk.  So, it was a quick walk over.  This is a small place to eat with only about 12-15 tables.  It looks just like you have stepped back in time.  Jamie said his burger was the best one in the park. I ordered a hot dog just so I wouldn't be full - since we had to get ice cream!  It was the best hot dog ever!
Afterward, we went to the beach to take lots of pictures... and for Lily to play.  They have the best beach ever.  There were only two other families that were out there that day.  It was truly magical!

Nothing like doing some gymnastics on the beach...

Or drawing Mickey Mouse in the sand...

Or making a castle for a princess...

We walked back over to the Boardwalk for a quick break....
Before going back to Hollywood Studios...

We ate at Pizza Planet which is actually one of Lily's favorite places to eat.  She loves their little pizzas, and I love the caesar salad that comes with her pizza.
Finally... we made it back to the lights...

This year, to go along with seeing the lights- we also got to look for all of the hidden Mickeys.  There are around 80 or so hidden in the lights.  We loved looking for these!

The Osbourne lights are always on the top of our list for one of our favorite things at Christmas...
Lily also decided on her second scroll present.  This one was very thought out...she chose BayMax for her Myrrh gift because her scroll gift said that it was believed to be good for healing hearts.  She said BayMax was a personal healthcare companion who helped to heal so he would be perfect to represent her Myrrh gift.  Plus, she loves him with her heart.  We thought all of that made for a perfect choice!
