Baba-less!

For the past 170 days, we have begun eating differently and exercising daily.  Last year, we did the Daniel Fast as a family.  We realized that the foods we put into our body seriously affected everything about us.  So, once we finished, we decided to start eating healthier--we now only shop at Earthfare and Trader Joe's for the food we eat.  We have taken the preservatives out of our lives, and it has made a huge difference.  Of course, we occasionally eat out, but 90% of what we put in is healthy and organic.  Since we changed our way of life, Jamie has lost 80 pound and I have lost 20 pounds.  We both feel so much better!

Near sighted Lily 7/11/2013

Lily has had tons of firsts this summer!  She also found out that she is near-sighted, so she has glasses now.  She is only supposed to wear them at school or when she is doing something where she needs to see far away things.  So, she doesn't need them too often.  But, she is thrilled with her Vera Bradley, purple framed glasses.  She looks completely beautiful with them and without them!

Toothless 6/30/13

While we were at church, Lily lost her first tooth!  She was so excited because that little tooth had been hanging in there for awhile.  She is determined not to bother her teeth and let each one come out in its own time.  So, she is really good at being patient and waiting!

Fort Bluff 6/26/2013

Lily loved checking out Fort Bluff before we got ready for roasting marshmallows in the bonfire that evening.  That was one of my favorite times at camp all week!

FP Camp 6/25/13

We made it to camp!  This was our first day getting ready to set up for the outdoor games.  Lily loved every minute of her time being an assistant at camp!

Getting ready for Camp 6/23/2013

While we were packing to head out to church camp, Lily was being silly.  She tried on Baba's hat, and I thought she looked so cute in her ensemble!  I had to snap a quick picture!

Nala and Lily 6/19/2013

Lily has been crazy about her Nala stuffed animal this summer.  She drew this sweet picture of the two of them together.  I love her picture of herself and Nala, but I especially love her flowers.  The daisy is just lovely!  I love her artistic nature!
