Lily made her first homemade, organic pizza. She decided to make a pepperoni and pineapple pizza. It was delicious! She did every part from helping to slap out the dough to saucing to placing every pepperoni and pineapple precisely where she wanted it. She loves to cook in the kitchen with Baba!
Lily has been asking for awhile to get her first real pedicure- she used to go with me when she was younger just for the polishing part. But, we thought it was time for her to actually experience this for herself. She loved it! I always loved sharing this outing with my Mom, so I am excited to be able to pass that along to Lily.
Jamie has been given a huge gift this summer- he is now off on Fridays! So, every Friday- we wake up to this face from Lily! She is thrilled to have her Baba to herself on Fridays. It has been the best present ever! We could not be more blessed to have this day together each week!
Between working at church, spending time with Suzette, and just enjoying our summer days together- we have been slacking on the journal this week. But, last week, she did one other entry about Haiti. I am interested to see what she wants to research next!
Lily and I love LOVE love summer... because we get to spend tons of time at church helping Baba! This summer, we have been working on lots of projects. Lily has gotten to make a rain stick, organize, clean, cut, color, glue, and PAINT! She has been helping me to paint this "coloring book" page for the TreeHouse stage. This week, God made land and plants. Next week, we will be coloring in the animals.
Lily is still crazy about all things Disney... and I couldn't imagine why! At the moment, she loves TinkerBell and her fairy friends the most. Trina bought her two sets of Pixie Hollow Chapter books for her birthday, and she loves reading about all of their adventures. I just loved these pictures she drew of the characters, and especially of Big Ben. I could watch her draw all day long...She is so creative!
